When veneers are the right answer

The colour does not respond to whitening

Tetracycline staining, fluorosis, age-related pigmentation — the kind of discolouration professional whitening does not lift.

Chips and worn edges

Front teeth after an injury or bruxism, where the tooth tissue is largely intact.

Gaps and slight crookedness

A diastema between the front teeth or mild crowding, where full orthodontic treatment is not planned.

Uneven shape and length

Teeth differ in size and the smile line is uneven.

How it works

Photos and plan

You send photos of your teeth. The doctor assesses whether veneers suit your case and prepares a preliminary plan.

Examination and X-rays

Your first day at the clinic: examination, X-rays and digital scanning. The plan is refined.

Smile design

We model your future teeth digitally: shape, length, colour. You look at it and say what to adjust.

Try-in

Temporaries or mock-ups go in your mouth — you see the result for real and can ask for changes.

Bonding

Once you approve it, the technician makes the permanent veneers and the doctor bonds them in place.

When veneers are not suitable

A badly damaged tooth

If little tooth tissue is left, a veneer will not hold — a crown is needed.

Pronounced crowding

With a serious bite problem, orthodontics comes first, otherwise veneers will be a compromise.

Active bruxism

Clenching at night destroys ceramics. First we deal with the cause and with protection.

Gum inflammation

We treat the gums first, aesthetics after. On an inflamed gum the edge of the veneer will show.

Frequent questions

It depends on the task. When only the colour and the shape slightly need changing, the reduction is minimal. If the teeth sit forward or differ a lot in shape, more has to be removed — the doctor will say so plainly at the planning stage, not in the chair.
E.max ceramics last a long time with normal hygiene and without bruxism. The main enemy is not time but a chip from a heavy load: ice, nuts, opening bottles. Ask the coordinator about the guarantee terms.
Usually 5–7 days in a single trip: examination and scanning, design, try-in, bonding. The exact timeline depends on the number of teeth.
